Filed to story: I Got Married Without You
She knew Stella was not short of money for medicine, but she couldn’t always take advantage of her.
She hadn’t paid for the boxes of medicine that Stella had given her yet. Now she would get another…
She stood at the entrance of the subway station and sighed.
Afraid that Stella would wait for her in the hospital, she turned to get on the subway to the hospital.
As soon as she entered the hospital, she saw Daniel supporting a pregnant woman and walking toward the obstetrics and gynecology department. Her face suddenly changed. She hurriedly followed him, her hands trembling. Fortunately, she was rational enough not to rush forward to question him. Instead, she took out her mobile phone and recorded it. After recording the video, she planned to send it to Eva, but she hesitated after choosing it.
If Eva had seen this video, she might not be able to bear it…
She put down her phone hard and walked towards Daniel.
Men were not allowed to enter the gynecology department. After sending the pregnant woman in, Daniel planned to sit and wait in the rest area. Unexpectedly, as soon as he turned around, he met Rosalyn’s sad eyes. He was shocked and took a few steps back to stabilize himself.
“Rosalyn, why are you here?”
“What about you? Didn’t you go to your hometown to pay off your debts? Why are you here?”
Hearing Rosalyn’s question, Daniel panicked. He probably didn’t expect Rosalyn to know he had returned to his hometown.
But when he thought that Eva and Rosalyn were as close as sisters, Eva naturally told her everything, which made him a little unhappy.
They were already married, but Eva had told Rosalyn everything about them, which made him careful every time.
After a moment of panic, Daniel quickly calmed down and explained to Rosalyn without batting an eyelid.
“I went back to my hometown to pay the debt. I met my sister who was not feeling well, so I immediately took her to the big hospital to look.”
Daniel’s hometown was in the suburbs of Arcadia. A three-hour drive was enough. It made sense, but…
“Your sister?”
How come she had never heard that Daniel had a younger sister?
Daniel pointed at the woman waiting in the obstetrics and gynecology department. “It’s her. She’s pregnant, so it’s inconvenient for her to attend the wedding. You may not have seen her before. Eva knows her I guess she forgot to tell you…”
There was a hint of sarcasm in Daniel’s last sentence, as if mocking that their relationship was not that firm.
Hearing what he said, Rosalyn didn’t ask any more questions. However, how she looked at Daniel was no longer as gentle as before.
Rosalyn walked in the direction of the elevator. After entering, she did not close the door in time. Instead, she hid in the corner and looked toward the obstetrics and gynecology department. Thinking that Rosalyn had left, Daniel waved to the pregnant woman. The woman immediately came out.
After saying something, the pregnant woman shook Daniel’s hand as if she was acting like a spoiled child. As for Daniel, he scratched her nose.
Their behavior was very intimate. They didn’t look like siblings at all. Instead, they looked like a couple who had been in love for many years.
Rosalyn also recorded this scene and then sent a message to Eva to ask her about the things of Daniel’s sister.
Eva quickly replied, “He does have a younger sister, but I haven’t seen her before. What’s wrong?”
Rosalyn typed quickly, “Nothing. I met Daniel at the hospital and saw him taking her to the obstetrics and gynecology department.”
When Eva saw this, her face darkened. “The obstetrics and gynecology department? Isn’t he in his hometown?”
As Daniel said, Rosalyn explained it to Eva, and Eva’s face softened a little.
But Rosalyn also felt that Daniel didn’t tell Eva he was back and even took his sister to the hospital. He obviously didn’t want Eva to know. It was so strange. Why didn’t he dare to let Eva know it?
Eva asked Rosalyn, “Which hospital are you in?”
After getting the location, Eva replied, “Okay.” Then Eva turned off her phone, took out her car key, and went straight to the hospital.
Rosalyn recorded the video and did not send it directly to Eva. It was not because she wanted to hide anything but because she wanted to wait for Eva to confirm it personally.
If Daniel really betrayed her, the video in her hand would be the evidence, and she would send it to Eva.
Eva didn’t arrive so quickly. Rosalyn feared they would leave after seeing the doctor, so she chose a place they couldn’t see and sat down.
About half an hour later, the pregnant woman came out and was helped to the inpatient area by Daniel.
Rosalyn immediately got up and followed him. When she saw that Daniel had completed the admission procedures, he helped the pregnant woman into the ward.
Rosalyn glanced at the number plate and wrote it down. Then she went to the fruit shop next to the hospital and quickly bought two fruit baskets. When she returned, she saw Eva rushing in from the clinic.
“Rosalyn, why are you here? Do you feel uncomfortable in your heart?”
Eva rushed over to “catch” Daniel, but when she saw Rosalyn, she stopped and turned to care about Rosalyn.
Rosalyn felt warm in her heart and said, “I’m fine. Stella asked me to get a few boxes of medicine. That’s why I came to the hospital.”
Hearing this, Eva breathed a sigh of relief. It was good that Rosalyn was in good health.
Rosalyn handed the two fruit baskets to Eva. “Since you’re visiting your sister-in-law, you should bring some fruit.”
Eva soon understood what Rosalyn meant. Rosalyn told her not to be too impulsive when she saw them later.
Instead, she would visit her as sister-in-law and find out what was happening before thinking of a way to deal with them.
Eva took the fruit basket from Rosalyn and said softly, “Rosalyn, you’re so thoughtful.”
Rosalyn held Eva’s arm and gave her infinite strength. “Let’s go. I’ll keep you company.”
Rosalyn was not in a hurry to get the medicine. Instead, she stayed here to wait for Eva to come and face it with Eva.
No matter what Eva saw or found something wrong later, Rosalyn would always be Eva’s most vital backing.
With Rosalyn’s company, Eva was no longer as flustered as before. She calmed herself down and followed Rosalyn to the inpatient area.
Before entering the ward, Eva stopped and looked inside through the transparent glass of the ward…
The pregnant woman was in her twenties and looked very young.
Her figure was a little plump because of her pregnancy, but her face was tender and lovely.
There was a pitiful look, and her grape-like black eyes were full of innocence.
Even Rosalyn felt pity for such a woman, let alone a man.
