Chapter 62 – I Got Married Without You Novel

Filed to story: I Got Married Without You

“You mean Ms. Garcia lied to me?”

Jackson asked the question.

Andrew didn’t reply, and his expression was somewhat arrog ant.

Jackson knew he had asked the right question but said, “Mr. Evans, I’m afraid you misunderstood. I’ve known Ms. Garcia for many years. I know her best. She wouldn’t lie to me.” He emphasized the last sentence as if he was talking to himself.

In the past, when she knelt at the door of the Collins’s house and begged him to come out and meet her, he felt that she was too annoying.

Later, he found some information that made him feel she was pretty dishonest, so he ignored her.

But after getting along with her for a few days, he felt Rosalyn was not that kind.

Jackson’s words made a trace of anger appear on Andrew’s indifferent face.

“You’ve known each other for many years?”

Jackson didn’t notice anything wrong with Andrew. He replied, “To be exact, I’ve known her since I was a child.”

It was just that he had lost his memory and could not remember their past. Otherwise, he would not know anything.

There was a sudden surge of hostility in Andrew’s eyes. His gaze was so indifferent and harsh.

Andrew moved his thin lips and was about to ask him something when Emily walked in.

“Andrew, you really are here!”

Jackson looked at Ms. Moore, then turned to Andrew and said, “Mr. Evans, I won’t disturb you from having dinner with your girlfriend,”

Jackson’s words were a bit sarcastic. After all, Andrew was the one who mocked him for bringing his girlfriend to the bidding.

Although the Evans Group was one of the top companies in this project, Jackson could win the development rights, so he didn’t have to fear offending Andrew. After saying that, Jackson turned around to get some food.

Emily happened to walk up to him. Just as she was about to ask if Andrew wanted to have dinner with her, Andrew suddenly walked out of the restaurant flatly. Emily’s face darkened when she saw this. What did Andrew mean?

Why did Andrew dislike her more after she returned to the country?

When Jackson returned with lunch, Rosalyn was sleeping on the single sofa.

She held a pillow, and her palm-sized face was leaning against the pillow. Her long eyelashes covered her clear eyes.

Jackson didn’t want to disturb her because she was sleeping soundly. However, he feared she would feel uncomfortable with a sitting posture. After thinking for a while, he picked her up. Several images flashed through his mind when he held her in his arms. It was just like he had done in the past.

Jackson looked down at the tranquil and beautiful face in front of him. At this moment, he felt that Rosalyn used to belong to him.

However, he didn’t remember her. He couldn’t remember anything. The more he thought about it, the more his head hurt.

The pain was like countless bugs crazily gnawing at his mind.

He wanted to grab some broken pieces but failed.

He was in so much pain that his face turned pale, and he broke out in a cold sweat. However, he held her tightly and was reluctant to let go.

It was as if he would lose her as soon as he let go of her. This feeling made him wish he were dead.

It was not until there was a knock on the door that he came to his senses. He quickly put Rosalyn on the long sofa as if he had a guilty conscience.

“Come in.”

Hearing his voice, Mr. Smith pushed the door open and entered.

“Mr. Collins, the bidding has started early. Let’s enter the venue.”

“Isn’t it two o’clock in the afternoon?”

“It was supposed to be two o’clock, but the Evans Group suddenly informed us beforehand.” Jackson frowned. It was rid iculous for such a big group to casually change the time.

“Mr. Collins, let’s hurry up. The Evans Group said that whoever doesn’t come will be kicked out.”

“Only they can do such a thing.”

Jackson snorted and was about to leave when he looked back at Rosalyn.

“Do you want to wake Ms. Garcia up?” Mr. Smith asked.

“No need.”

Jackson took off his coat and covered her petite body with it.

Only then did he turn around and follow Mr. Smith to the venue.

As soon as Rosalyn fell asleep, she fell into a daze and couldn’t wake up, no matter how hard she tried.

Rosalyn felt that her face had been patted several times before she opened her eyes in a daze.

Her vision was still blurred. After focusing for a long time, she could only vaguely see an outline before her. “Is that you, Mr. Collins?”

As soon as she asked this question, she was picked up.

As the sky and the earth spun, an angular face suddenly enlarged in front of her.

“Take a good look at me!”

Hearing the indifferent voice, Rosalyn suddenly came to her senses.

The person in front of her was not Jackson, but Andrew!

Rosalyn’s heart began to pound when she met Andrew’s cold and distant amorous eyes.

She subconsciously looked away, only to see his hand pinching her waist.

He must have pinched her waist and lifted her up from the sofa.

Now she was half-lying on the sofa, and he was leaning against her. Although he didn’t touch her body, their posture was slightly ambiguous.

Rosalyn stretched out her soft little hand and tried to push him away, but as soon as her hand touched the sleeves of his shirt, she was scolded flatly by him. “Don’t touch me!”

Frightened, Rosalyn’s hands froze, and she dared not take another step.
