Chapter 60 – I Got Married Without You Novel

Posted on November 11, 2025 by thisisterrisun

Filed to story: I Got Married Without You

Paul had thought she would be too ashamed to show her face after being ridiculed by him. But she didn’t take his provocation seriously.

“Then what do you want, Mr. Evans?”

She put down the coffee and stared at him without blinking.

Her eyes were clear, without any impurities, so people couldn’t bear hurting her.

Paul’s face stiffened slightly. He looked away and said,

“Remember to close the door.”

Seeing that he had left, Rosalyn picked up the coffee and walked to the venue.

The bidding had already begun. The lights in the venue had been turned off, and only the big screen was on.

It was similar to a small studio. There were hundreds of steps in the front from the back door.

Now that the lights were turned off, it was dark inside. Rosalyn could not see the road clearly and could only fumble down.

Rosalyn slowly walked down, holding a cup of coffee in one hand and holding the chair in the other.

She had been the president’s assistant for many years and could still handle such a small matter well.

Soon, she came to Jackson with a cup of coffee.

She bent down and handed him the coffee. In a low voice, she reminded him, “Mr. Collins, be careful. It’s hot.”

Jackson nodded and took the coffee from her. He smiled and said, “Thank you for your hard work.”

Rosalyn shook her head. Just as she was about to sit down,

Andrew, who was sitting in front, suddenly raised his head.

She held on to his seat and accidentally touched his thick black hair.

She was startled and quickly withdrew her hand, but the man turned around and glanced at her flatly.

Under the dim light, when she looked into his blue and deep eyes, she felt as if she had been targeted by a black eagle, which was extremely terrifying. She looked at Andrew and said in a panic, “I’m… I’m sorry.”

Andrew didn’t say anything. He glanced at her indifferently, then looked away at the big screen.

Rosalyn took a deep breath and fell to the seat.

As her heart pounded, Jackson suddenly whispered, “Rosalyn, don’t be afraid.”

Rosalyn looked at Jackson in disbelief. “What… did you just say?”

After Jackson finished speaking, he also felt that it was unbelievable.

As soon as he saw that, Andrew glanced at Rosalyn. She was so scared that she trembled and subconsciously said this.

Why did he suddenly call her Rosalyn for no reason?

Jackson was shocked by his actions. It took him a long time to calm down before he pretended that nothing had happened and sipped coffee.

After drinking, he was slightly surprised and asked, “How did you know I like this coffee?”

Rosalyn’s attention was diverted by his words, and she replied lightly, “I don’t know. I just randomly picked one.”

In fact, she knew that before the exam, he always liked to drink coffee with solid content to refresh himself. Jackson looked at her thoughtfully and asked, “Have you studied my taste?”

Rosalyn shook her head. “No, I haven’t.”

Jackson stretched his hand and asked, “Where’s the coffee mate?”

Rosalyn subconsciously took out a box of coffee mate and handed it to him. Jackson glanced at the box of coffee mate and raised an eyebrow smugly.

“It seems you know I like to add some coffee mate.”

Only then did she realize he was testing her, and she immediately wanted to take back the coffee mate.

But Jackson gently grabbed her hand and said, “Ms. Garcia, I need your help.”

He was holding a cup of coffee and couldn’t tear open the lid of the coffee mate. He could only signal to Rosalyn with his eyes to help him put the coffee mate in.

When Rosalyn heard him call her Ms. Garcia, she dispelled the doubts. Maybe he just said those words unintentionally. However, the way he asked her to open the coffee mate was a little similar to Ryan, which made her heart soften.

She took the box, tore the film, and slowly poured it into the coffee.

Jackson looked at Rosalyn, who had her eyes lowered. He felt that looking at her under the dim yellow light gave her a different kind of beauty.

Jackson couldn’t help but be mesmerized, and his voice became softer. “Thank you.”

Rosalyn looked up at him and said, “Drink it.”

Sitting in the front, Andrew couldn’t see their interaction but could hear it clearly.

The light in his almond-shaped eyes which were offish.

Jackson picked up the coffee and took a sip. The bitterness spread in his mouth, which made him raise his eyebrows.

Jackson sipped on his coffee slowly. It wasn’t until the host on the stage called out to the Collins Group that he reluctantly gulped it down.

Seeing that he was about to go on stage after handing her the coffee cup, she couldn’t help but worry. “Have you finished reading the documents?” Rosalyn was a little surprised. Jackson hadn’t even read the documents just now. How dare he go straight up to the stage?

Jackson pointed at his head and said confidently, “Don’t worry. I’ll keep them in mind after reading them.”

Hearing this, Rosalyn’s expression froze.

That’s right. Jackson had a photographic memory. How could he lose his memory? Jackson’s words dispelled the last bit of kindness that Rosalyn had left for him, Jackson was putting on an act.

Just now, Rosalyn had almost mistaken him for the previous Ryan.

Rosalyn’s stiff face made Jackson a little worried. “What’s wrong with you?”

Frustrated, she shook her head and said, “It’s okay. Hurry up and go on stage.”

Once the bidding ended, Rosalyn could part ways with Jackson and never meet again.
