Chapter 423 – She Is The Campus Prince Novel Free Online By Alyssa Fox

Filed to story: That Campus Prince Is a Girl

Bradley cleared his throat and said, “Mom, Dad, Grandma, I’m going to be the live-in son-in-law of the Yate

Hearing that, everyone in the Saunders family was left speechless.

As soon as Bradley finished speaking, there was a dead silence in the living room.

None of them had expected Bradley to drop a bombshell like that right off the bat.

Camilla thought she had misheard, so she turned to Bradley, her voice full of disbelief. “Brad, what did you just say? You’re gonna be a live-in son-in-law

You’re getting married?”

She wondered if that Instagram post the other day meant Cameron’d already accepted his proposal.

“That was really fast,” Damian said, giving Brad a thumbs-up. “You’ve really got guts, Brad.”

Osborne chimed in, “Did her family ask you to become a live-in son-in-law?”

Reginald added, “Brad, you really kept this under wraps. Only when you’re getting married are you willing to tell us, huh?”

Eric asked, “Brad, have you made up your mind?”

Eddie answered for Bradley, “He knows exactly what he’s doing.”

Simon chimed in, “Brad, how come you came back alone? Where’s your bride-to-be?”

Evan said, “Simon, what’s the rush? Brad’ll bring her home to meet us sooner or later.”

A dead silence hung in the air for a dozen seconds before everyone started bombarding Bradley with questions.

Nathan, Beth, and Edith just exchanged glances in silence, saying nothing.

Bradley looked at them with a deep, intense gaze. “It’s been seven years. Because of your wrong decision, I forgot about her for seven years. Are you planning to stand in my way again?”

“Seven years?” Camilla murmured to herself.

Seven years ago, Camilla hadn’t returned to the Saunders family yet, so of course she knew nothing about it.

Camilla wasn’t the only one in the Saunders family unaware of the truth, so everyone was curious about what had really happened back then.

Nathan finally spoke up. “Brad, let’s talk in my study.”

Bradley shook his head. “Dad, that’s not necessary. I came back today just to let you all know that I’m planning to settle down in Viremont.”

He was here to inform them, not to ask for their approval.

With that, Bradley was about to stand up.

Beth also rose to her feet in a hurry. “Brad…”

She grabbed his arm, tears in her eyes. “Alright, if you wanna stay in Viremont, just do it. It was all my fault seven years ago. I’m glad there’s still a chance to make things right. Brad, as long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters.”

Edith let out a long sigh, her heart heavy with regret.

Being a live-in son-in-law wasn’t exactly something to brag about, but they’d indeed made a dreadful mistake seven years ago. So they couldn’t tear these two apart again.

With Beth already having taken a stand, Nathan, who always doted on her, naturally had nothing more to say.

Bradley’s lips curled into a faint smile as he knew their attitude.

There was nothing he couldn’t do once he set his mind to it.

It was best if his family didn’t try to stop him, but even if they did, it wouldn’t make a difference.

“Brad, any idea when you’ll bring Cameron over to visit us?” Beth asked with a smile.

Bradley shook his head. “Mom, there’s no rush. I’ll bring her home when the time comes.”

Given how reserved Cameron was about relationships, and the fact that they’d just made things official, he figured she probably wouldn’t agree to come here with him just yet.

Reginald said, “Brad, I’m dying to know what kind of woman could actually catch your eye.”

Bradley replied, “She’s honestly perfect.”

Hearing that, Simon perked up right away. “Perfect? Then how perfect is she? Come on, Brad, spill the details!”

Everyone suddenly found themselves curious about Cameron, apart from Eric and Eddie who actually knew her pretty well.

Eric waved at Camilla, grinning. “Cutie Cami, come here. I will fill you in.”

After having dinner with the Saunders family, Bradley got in his car and drove back to Viremont.

Eddie stood on the balcony, watching as Bradley drove away. Amusement glimmered in his blue eyes.

‘Brad is really brave,’ Eddie thought to himself.

Seven years ago, after realizing he had feelings for Cameron, Bradley went straight home and told the family he fell for a boy-no one could stop him.

Now, seven years later, after finally getting together with Cameron, he came back just as boldly as ever, announcing he was going to marry into her family.

By the time Bradley returned to Viremont, it was already past midnight. The streets were empty, with hardly any pedestrians around.

He drove straight to Yates Manor, parking his car right outside the wall beneath Cameron’s bedroom window.

He rolled down the window and looked up at the second floor. Without any light burning in the window, he thought

Cameron was already asleep.

Bradley took out his phone, wanting to tell her that his parents had finally allowed him to settle down in Viremont.

‘Or maybe,’ he thought, ‘I just want to say goodnight to her.’

But in the end, he still put his phone down. ‘It’s too late,’ he wondered, ‘the ringtone might wake Cam.’

So, Bradley just sat quietly in the car, shut off the engine, reclined his seat, and turned his head to look toward Cameron’s window.

After running around all day, he was already exhausted. But for some reason, he just didn’t want to go home.

Upstairs, Cameron wasn’t asleep either.

Bradley had already told her yesterday that he’d be coming back to Viremont today. She figured he was probably already asleep at home by now. But he’d forgotten to say goodnight to her.

Cameron hesitated, wondering if she should text him first, but worried she might be bothering him if he was still with his family.

After turning it over in her mind, she realized it was already past midnight.

It was inappropriate to text him now, but she just couldn’t sleep.

She’d gotten used to falling asleep only after getting Bradley’s goodnight message.

Unable to sleep, Cameron got up, slid open the glass door, and stepped out onto the terrace. She looked up at the sky. In the city, the nights never really got dark.

After just a glance, Cameron heard her phone ringing from inside the room.

It was a call from none other than Bradley.

Bradley had been keeping his eyes on her window, surprised to see that Cameron was still awake. So he instantly called her.

Cameron went back inside, picked up her phone, and when she saw it was Bradley calling, she couldn’t help but smile. “Hi, Brad.”

“Cam, why aren’t you asleep yet?” Bradley’s voice was gentle and full of warmth.

“How do you know I’m not asleep?” Cameron asked.

“Come out onto the terrace,” Bradley said.

Cameron, feeling a bit suspicious, stepped out onto the terrace. Looking straight ahead, she immediately spotted Bradley’s black Mercedes parked outside. “Brad, what are you doing outside my house at this time of night?”

“I just wanted to see you,” Bradley replied with a soft smile. “But I was worried you might already be asleep, so I didn’t want to wake you.”

“So you called me only when seeing me come out?” Cameron asked, as she started to head back inside.

Bradley had already gotten out of the car. “Cam, don’t go back inside yet. Let me see you for a while,” he called out.

‘Even if it’s just seeing you from across the wall, that’s enough for me. Otherwise, I won’t be able to sleep tonight, Bradley thought.

But then, right in his ear, he heard her hang up on him.
