Filed to story: That Campus Prince Is a Girl
The next morning, as so as Amelia woke up, she met Lance’s deep, soulful gaze
Staring at that ridiculously handsome face, the couldn’t help but smile
Seriously, who wouldn’t get lost staring at a face like his? she thought,
“You awake?” Lance asked softly.
“Yeah,” Amelia mumbled, finally coming back to her senses. She instantly ducked her head under the covers. “Don’t look at ma
Lance smiled, giving her head a gentle pat through the blanket, “Come on, time to get up. I’ll wait for you in the living room.”
It was only after she heard the door close that Amelia finally let out a sigh of relict
She went to the bathroom and took a look at her neck in the mirror
Thankfully, her skin wasn’t that delicate, and there weren’t any marks or hickeys left behind
Amelia dragged her feet in the bathroom for a good half hour before finally stepping out.
She didn’t put on any makeup.
Even bare-faced, she was still a knockout.
Lance was waiting in the living room, not rushing her at all.
When Amelia finally made it to the living room, she still felt a little awkward.
Lance waved her over. “Come on, let’s have breakfast. After that, I’ll drive you home.
While Amelia was taking her time, the takeout Lance had ordered arrived.
Not knowing what Amelia liked, he’d ordered a little bit of everything.
Amelia didn’t say anything.
Hearing Lance talk like nothing had happened, she couldn’t help but frown
She thought, “Last night, we just…
“And now he’s in such a hurry to get to work?
Amelia sat down at the table. “Are you heading to work!”
“Are you feeling okay?” Lance asked,
Amelia glanced over at him.
The first time she met Lance, aside from thinking he was very handsome, she also noticed how icy and aloof he was
His blank face just gave of this vibe that kept everyone at arm’s length.
Lance reached out and gently brushed her cheek. You look a little pale. Does it still hurt?”
Amelia bit her lip. “Wow, you’re actually taking time out of your busy schedule to care about me!”
Lance said, “Still got the energy to sass me? Guess you’re not hurting that much”
Amelia said nothing else.
Lance set a glass of milk in hot of her. “Breakfast first. Then I’ll take you home”
“Okay” Amella replied quietly, sipping her drink slowly and absentmindedly.
They hadn’t spent much time together, and she still couldn’t quite figure out what made Lance tick
Amelia suddenly started to feel a bit of regret for giving herself to Lance so easily last night
I totally lost my head, she thought
Lance ate quickly, and once he was done, there quietly, watching Amelia with a small smile playing at his lips.
Amelia was quietly stewing.
‘But what exactly am upset about? she thought.
Maybe it was because she thought things would be different between them after last night.
However, nothing changed.
Things hadn’t turned out the way she’d hoped, and it left her feeling disappointed and unsettled.
Amelia finished her breakfast slowly.
Lance picked up her bag and wrapped an arm around her waist “Come on, let’s go. I’ll drive you home.”
When they got to the parking lot, Amelia slid into the passenger seat and said coolly, “Just drop me off by the curb. I’ll catch a cab home myself, so you can hurry off to work.”
Lance raised an eyebrow. “Who said I was heading to work?”
Amelia shot him a look. “If you’re not going to work, why are you in such a rush to get me home?”
Lance smirked, “I’m taking you home to grab your temporary ID.”
Amelia’s eyes went wide. “My temporary ID?”
Lance nodded. “And your ID card.”
Amelia had a feeling what he meant, but still asked in shock, “What for?”
Lance replied as if it was the most natural thing in the world. “To get married, obviously.”
Amelia was so shocked she almost forgot how to breathe, just staring at him with wide eyes.
“Wait, what? Married? Did I hear that right?” she asked.
Lance burst out laughing at her stunned look. “What, you don’t want to be my wife?”
Thaven’t even had time to think about it!”Amelia stammered, flustered.
Lance started the car and said, “No rush. We’ve got a long drive ahead before we get to your place.”
Amelia just stared at him, completely at a loss for words.
She glanced at Lance’s handsome side profile, and finally, a smile tugged at her lips,
Just a little while ago, she’d still been sulking over his attitude bark at his place..
She never expected him to jump straight to marriage like that.
Amelia’s smile slowly grew wider.
They hadn’t even driven that for when Lance suddenly pulled over.
He unbuckled his seatbelt.
Amelia snapped back to reality and asked, “Why’d you pull over?”
Lance said, “I just need to stop by the pharmacy”
Before she could even react, Lance had already hopped out of the car.
Amelia was confused.
A few minutes later, Lance came back.
He handed the box of medicine to Amelia and said, “Twice a day, moming and night Apply it once when you get home. It should make you feel a bit better.
“What is this…” Amelia asked. When she read the label on the box, her words just died in her throat.
It was actually that kind of medicine.
Amelia held the box, feeling a little awkward.
Suddenly, something occurred to her. She turned to look at Lance, ance, who was driving. “Lance, you sure seem to know your way around this kind of thing huh?”
Lance chuckled. “Honestly, this is my first time buying something like this”.
“Really?” Amelia raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it.
