Cameron turned toward it and saw a familiar face-Amelia, sitting on a chair in a white dress, her beautiful face unreadable.
Amelia hadn’t expected Cameron to pick pharmacology too, and what was more, they’d ended up in the same dorm. It was such a coincidence.
Cameron was pretty surprised too. She just nodded and walked into the room. The only empty bed left in the dorm was hers.
“You two know each other?” Lance glanced curiously at Amelia.
“We went to high school together,” Cameron replied.
Hearing that, Amelia looked at Cameron in silence. Now that Cameron was back to living as a girl, she probably didn’t want anyone bringing up her past. Naturally, Amelia wasn’t about to mention it.
Gavin pulled out the quilt and sheets. Then, he ordered Lance, “Go make Cam’s bed.”
“I’ll do it myself,” Cameron said.
Lance immediately grabbed the sheets and climbed onto the bed. “Cam, let me handle it.”
Lance quickly made the bed for Cameron. Meanwhile, Gavin helped Cameron sort out her toiletries and other stuff.
“Cam, get to know your roommates. We’ll go meet up with Mom and Dad now. Let’s have lunch together later,” Gavin said.
Cameron nodded, and with that, Gavin and Lance left. Before leaving, Lance glanced back at Amelia.
“Hey, are those your brothers? They’re so handsome, and they treat you so well!” Lila O came over to Cameron, full of excitement.
Cameron nodded and introduced herself, “Hi, I’m Cameron Wallace.”
“Hi, I’m Lila Brooks. You’re so cool. Like, you’re cooler than most guys.” Lila grinned.
“I’m Sienna James,” Sienna said a little shyly.
“I guess I don’t need to introduce myself, right?” Amelia looked at Cameron.
Cameron glanced at her but didn’t say anything, so Amelia stayed quiet after that.
Just now, Amelia had been too shocked that Cameron was assigned to the same dorm as her to even remember that she once confessed to Cameron and got rejected.
The moment she saw Cameron’s cold expression, it all came rushing back, and now Amelia was feeling really awkward. However, she didn’t let it show.
Cameron wasn’t much of a talker, and Amelia was pretty aloof too. Lila, on the other hand, was super outgoing, while Sienna was slightly more reserved.
Barring any surprises, the four girls would share a room for the next four years.
Before they knew it, it was lunchtime. Lila called Amella and Sienna to ask if they wanted to grab lunch at the cafebots to en
“Cameron, you’re having lunch with your family, so I won’t ask you to come with us, Lila said.
Cameron nodded. “We have plenty of chances next time.”
Cameron made it to 18 without ever having a real female friend, and she was always flying solo. Most girls had at least one or two close friends
Maybe, just maybe, college would be different. Maybe she would finally make some real friends here.
Cameron’s parents were reluctant to let her go after just bringing her back.
“Jacqueline even suggested getting an apartment near campus just to see her more often. Thankfully, Levi managed to talk her out of it.
Gavin left first to handle company matters. Lance, who was entering his final year of college, was also swamped with work.
As soon as the semester started, their orientation week began with a one-week-long fitness training.
Cameron was in great shape, so it was no big deal for her. But Amelia and the other two complained nonstop.
It was especially rough on Amelia, a pampered princess who’d never had to go through anything like this before.
By the end of the training, she’d lost so much weight she was practically a different person.
Fitness training was brutal, but it only lasted seven days, And it was over before they knew it.
Aner training ended, Cameron returned to school and took her phone out of her locker. The moment she turned it on, she saw a Vihatshoe text fie Bradley
Bradley, is training over? Want to grab dinner?]
Cameron stared at her phone for a moment, then replied to Bradley. [Sure.]
“Thank god that’s over! I feel like I lost half my life,” Lila flopped onto her bed. “Let’s head out and eat a ton later. We totally deserve a feast.”
Cameron walked back to her desk with her phone in hand. “You guys go ahead. I’ve got other plans.”
Amelia looked up at Cameron, a little surprised. They were all freshmen in college who hadn’t made any solid friends yet, so she wondered if Cameron was meeting up with a friend from high school.
Sienna said softly, “You guys go ahead. I won’t be joining.”
“Huh? You’re not coming either, Sienna? You got plans too?” Lila pouted.
Sienna lowered her head. “I… need to look for a part-time job. Gotta earn my living expenses.”
Lila fell silent, but from the sound of that, she could tell Sienna’s family probably wasn’t doing well financially.
Lila remembered hearing her quietly asking about financial aid during registration. Hearing that, Cameron glanced at Sienna too, but didn’t say anything. After all, they barely knew each other.
Cameron grabbed her bag and was about to head out when Amelia called after her. “Cameron, are you really going out dressed like that?”
Cameron turned around slightly. She was wearing a plain white T-shirt and jeans, which was simple and gender-neutral. “What else would I wear?”
Amelia blinked. She wasn’t expecting that response and had no idea what to say.
Cameron was back to being a girl now, so Amelia wondered if she was planning to stick with her gender-neutral style. Was it because she didn’t like wearing dresses?
Amelia didn’t say anything more, so Cameron just left.
Stellanford University and Viremont School of Law and Public Affairs were about a thirty-minute drive apart.
Bradley picked a private restaurant right between the two colleges.
“Brad,” Cameron greeted as the waiter led her into the private dining room.
After a week of fitness training, his complexion darkened a few shades. Meanwhile, despite spending just as much time in the sun, it didn’t affect
Cameron that much.
In his chair, Bradley raised a hand in greeting, his usual calm smile tugging at his lips. “Long time no see.”
Cameron took a seat. “Long time no see.”
Behind his gold-rimmed glasses, Bradley’s eyes quietly took in the sight of Cameron.
Ever since the night he realized his feelings for Cameron weren’t exactly what friends felt for each other, the moments he shared with Cameron had been on repeat in his head throughout training.
Thinking back, be’d actually found Cameron pretty adorable from the very first time they met.
When Cameron got into a fight with Xander, Bradley didn’t hesitate to jump in to help Cameron.

The things he did for Cameron were far beyond what a frigeron, just so she could have a place to keep Pearl.
Eddie used to tease Bradley about how he was treating too do, but Bradley had never realized that.
Eric didn’t even bother sugarcoating anything. He straight up said Bradley’s feelings were out of line and even threatened to “break them up”.
Back then, Bradley just laughed it off.
But now, thinking about it more seriously, he couldn’t deny it anymore. Maybe he really did feel something he wasn’t supposed to for his friend, who was a guy.
Bradley leaned back in his chair, feeling a little ridiculous. He’d never done anything even remotely out of line in his whole life.
If anything counted, this had to be the wildest thing he’d ever done.
Maybe everyone was just overthinking it. Maybe he was too. So, as soon as fitness training was over, he asked Cameron to meet up.
