I dry myself, and Theo walks out of the walk-in dressed and passes me my pajamas. I turn to walk into the bathroom to put them on when Tobias grabs my wrist.
“No, get dressed here; you don’t go anywhere by yourself from now on.” I look at Theo, who is watching, his face expressionless.
I look back to Tobias, the look on his face is daring me to disobey him. I drop my towel right in front of him. My eyes don’t leave his as I slip my pajamas on. I don’t care that they see me naked, they obviously have more times now then I can count. What I do care about though is not being given any privacy.
I fold my arms over my chest defiantly. Tobias clicks his tongue, annoyed at me glaring at him. He stands up, his chest pressing against mine. “You ever pull something like that again…” I look down at the ground to get away from his gaze. He grips my chin, forcing my head back to look at him. “I will let Theo go back and kill not only Tom, but his entire family. Understood?” I can feel tears brimming. “Understood?” I don’t say anything which angers him slightly, his grip on my chin getting tighter. “Understood?” His eyes burn into mine. I feel Theo press up against my back. I swallow quickly, trying to get moisture back in my mouth that has turned dry as a desert.
“Yes, understood,” I whisper. He turns my head slightly before looking up at Theo and nodding. He lets go and pulls me to him. Wrapping his arms around my waist, he puts his head in my neck, running his nose from the crook of my neck to my chin, inhaling my scent before gently pressing his lips to mine.
I feel his tongue brush my bottom lip, but I don’t react. He becomes more forceful, and I give in parting my lips, I kiss him back. Theo steps closer to me, running his nose along my shoulder to behind my ear. I shiver at the contrast of hot and cold, Theo’s husky voice in my ear. “You won’t run again, will you, Imogen?”
My stomach tightens, arousal flooding me. “No,” I moan into Tobias’s mouth, right now I will tell them anything they want to hear, loving the feel of them touching my skin. The voice in my head tells me this is wrong, that I shouldn’t allow this after everything that happened, but I feel an even greater pull towards them, my body acting on its own.
Eventually, my mind submits to the feeling of their hands caressing and touching my skin. I lean back into Theo and I feel Tobias hands move to my face, his lips hungrily devouring mine. Theo’s hands go underneath my shirt and run across my stomach before moving to my breasts. Then, I’m suddenly hit with a need that I know isn’t mine but that of Theo’s. His fangs graze my neck sharp on my soft skin.
Theo’s teeth press harder and harder against my skin as he hungrily sucks on my soft flesh, I flinch when his fangs pierce my skin, before relaxing into him. I can feel his tongue lapping and sucking at the bite mark as he drinks my blood. I thought it’s supposed to hurt, they said his bite is painful, but I feel euphoric, tingling spreads throughout my body. I can feel my temperature rising, despite the coldness of his body pressing into mine.
Tobias steps back, watching, waiting for him to stop. Theo pulls his mouth away, some of my blood running down my shoulder. Tobias wipes it with the towel on the floor. I lean back into Theo, suddenly feeling a little queasy. It doesn’t feel like he drank from me long but why the aftereffects? Theo wipes his lips with his thumb before sucking it into his mouth. I look up at him, his grip on my waist holding me tight against his body.
“I thought you said it would hurt when he bites me?” I ask Tobias.
“Must be the mate bond, it hurt for years when he fed on me until I marked him, I just assumed since you’re human it would be painful.” I nod.
“It’s probably the mate bond kicking in. I must say you taste way better than Tobias,” he says with a chuckle.
Tobias crosses his arms. “Well then, you can feed off her, if I taste so bad.” He pouts, I roll my eyes at their bickering.
“I never said you tasted bad, but you try eating the same thing for years, it gets a little boring after a while.” Tobias doesn’t seem pleased with his answer.
“Come, you should eat,” Tobias says, grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the room.
We end up having grilled cheese and tomato on toast for dinner. We eat silently before watching TV, I’m not really watching though. I feel a little off, I feel like I’m heating up like I’m put in an oven. I start sweating profusely and excuse myself to go have a shower. Tobias, refusing to let me be on my own, follows and sits on the sink watching me, after a few minutes of watching, he strips and hops in.
He jumps as soon as the freezing cold water touches him. “Geez, Imogen, that’s freezing, turn the heat up,” I ignore him. Instead, I slide down the shower wall to a sitting position. No matter how cold the water is I feel like I’m overheating; my skin feels like it’s on fire. Tobias glances down at me and turns the heat up slightly. “You okay love? You smell different.”
I shake my head, I feel out of breath, hot and on the verge of passing out. Tobias pulls me up to a standing position, pulling me against his chest. “Shit, you are burning up. Theo, get in here.” Within seconds Theo is in the room with a panicked expression on his face. Theo pulls me out of the shower and Tobias turns the water off before stepping out himself. I can see my reflection in the mirror above the sink. My face is flushed, my cheeks a bright crimson color.
“She definitely has a fever,” Theo tells Tobias.
“Heat?” Tobias asks, Theo gives me a weird look. “I don’t know, can humans go into heat?”
“Your guess is as good as mine, she smells different though.” Tobias announces.
“Yeah, she does, it’s the only thing that makes sense,” replies Theo. I stare between the pair of them confused.
“What is heat?”
“Means the bond is kicking in, will make you more sensitive to us. You will want to mate, and if your scent gets any stronger, we won’t be able to help ourselves. We will mate you.” Tobias explains.
“What, like a dog? I’m not a dog, I’m not bleeding either. I don’t want to be a dog,” I say, appalled at the thought. This is fucking ridiculous because of them I’m turning into a dog.
Tobias growls lowly. “I’m not a dog; will you stop saying I am? There is a clear difference between a dog and a werewolf.”
