“I missed you a lot, my princess…” he said in a low voice.
“Me too, Jake…” I placed another kiss on his head.
I was massaging his head for a few seconds, then only I remembered about Luke!
“God! I completely forgot about Luke! He must be worried to death.” I said in a hurry.
“Don’t worry. He knows you are with me.” Jake replied casually.
“How does he know?” I asked.
“I called him, babe… Now stop worrying and do your duty properly,” he said.
I started massaging his head again. He had his eyes closed.
We stayed like that for a few minutes.
“You could have become a doctor, not an Engineer, Princess…” he said.
“Why?”
“You have some magical powers in your hands. I don’t have a headache at all now,” he said, smiling.
“Really?” I asked.
“Yes…”
“But I don’t think that magic would work for other people because I can’t love them the way I love you,” I replied.
He sat back on the sofa and put his arm around me. He made me cuddled to him.
“How lucky am I to have you in my life, princess. When nothing goes right for me, it is just you and your love that keeps me going. I can’t even explain how much I love you.” he said, placing his warm lips on mine. For a moment, we both forgot everything. All the sorrows and pains vanished. It was just him and me…
His lips felt so good on mine… God! I missed you so much…
“Sarah…” with a voice that raised near the door, we both drew apart quickly.
There was no need to look at the door to know to whom that voice belongs.
“Mr. Patterson.” I stood up from the sofa automatically.
Jake also stood up with the aids of his crutches.
Mr. Patterson was staring at both of us with his fiery eyes.
If he hadn’t realized earlier that something is going on between us, now he realized it for sure. My heart was beating so fast. God! What will happen now? An outsider knowing our secret is dangerous. We should have been careful than this. “I didn’t know you are here…” Mr. Patterson said, looking at Jake. He is trying his best to hide his anger, but it was clearly visible in his voice.
“Well… I just came. I got your message.” Jake replied in a calm voice.
Got your message? What did he mean? Why did Mr. Patterson send a message to Jake?
“It was her wish.” was Mr. Patterson’s reply. But he was not looking at Jake, he was looking right into my eyes. His gaze made me feel like I did something terribly wrong.
Suddenly the door was again opened.
“Sarah…” Luke said, looking at all of us.
“I think we should leave now. Otherwise, we won’t be able to reach home at least before midnight,” Luke said again.
I was in a hurry to leave this place anyway. But now, since Jake is also here, I wanted to stay more.
I looked at Jake, thinking about what to say.
“I think he is right, Sarah… You both should leave now.” Jake said.
“You can stay if you want, Sarah… I will be glad if you can stay…” Mr. Patterson said quickly, ignoring everything Jake and Luke said.

“You said, your parents want you to come home tonight, right? They will get worried. So you should leave now.” Jake said in a firm voice.
“Oh! Really? I didn’t know your parents were that much concern about you, Sarah…” Mr. Patterson said with a fake smile.
“Let’s go, Sarah… I want to go home too…” Luke said.
“It seems like you two worry too much about her… ” Mr. Patterson smirked.
“What is this Jakie, don’t you want her to meet your loving family? They will be pleased to meet her,” he said sarcastically.
Jake’s family? What is he talking about? On the other hand, why did he call Jake Jakie? Only Luke calls him like that when he is joking with Jake. How Mr. Patterson became that close to Jake?
I looked at Jake. His face has turned red. He is angry, and he is trying his very best to control it.
“I think we should go now, Mr. Patterson,” I said immediately.
I couldn’t really understand what is going on here, but one thing was crystal clear. Jake and Luke want me to go home. So I have to obey.
“Oh! That’s sad… If you could stay, that would be a great relief for me. But what to do? Anyway, thank you very much for coming all the way here, Sarah… You don’t know how much that means to me.” Mr. Patterson said, shaking my hand. Then unexpectedly, he hugged me.

Then Mr. Patterson released me from the hug. It was clear that he did it intentionally to make Jake mad. Because after breaking the hug, he looked at Jake and gave him a wicked smile.
