Cornell looked at her, his face dark and gloomy. Audrey felt a shiver crawl down her spine.
“How dare you Lie to me, Audrey!”
Audrey’s heart raced. She wondered if Cornell had found out the baby was his.
She quickly masked her panic and fired back, “What are you talking about?”
In response, Cornell hurled a stack of photos at her.
The photos showed Henley and Audrey at the hospital, including footage from the gynecology and obstetrics department. Everything that happened was caught by the surveillance cameras.
According to Matteo’s investigation, the hospital doctors had also confirmed that Henley was accompanying his wife for her prenatal check-ups.
The “wife in question was Audrey.
When Cornell learned this, he felt like he had been hurled into the abyss.
Hadn’t he treated Audrey well enough?

“Can you even believe that yourself?” Cornell, without even looking at her, grabbed Audrey’s hand and started descending the stairs.

“I’m taking you to the hospital. You’re getting rid of this bastard.”
Audrey’s face turned pale upon hearing this. She clutched the hem of her clothes tightly to calm herself down.
Although her baby was not welcomed, it was definitely not a bastard.

Audrey wanted to tell Cornell the truth. The baby in her belly was his child.
If he couldn’t accept and love it, she hoped he wouldn’t hurt it.

She thought that if she told Cornell that the baby was not his, he would find it unacceptable. And he would definitely divorce her.
