Eden and Casey watched as they were kicked out of the kitchen before long after their interference made things worse than ever, even though everyone worked quickly together.
Despite all this chaos caused by these two troublemakers, the meal didn’t start until three hours later because there were many people involved.
Casey highly recommended Kelvin’s red wine braised beef, and almost everyone praised him except himself.
However, everyone knew Kelvin’s good cooking skills, and they will praise him spontaneously without being asked by Casey.
After drinking and eating, everyone went back to their rooms to rest.
Today they were exhausted by traveling, and brainstormed in the afternoon. Although there was no jet lag, they were indeed tired.
After Tilly and Ben returned to the room, Ben hugged Tilly, kissed her ear, and said softly, “I’m sorry baby. I really want to take you to relax.”
Who would have thought that they would discuss business matters.
Tilly turned her head, looked at Ben, and said, “There’s nothing to be sorry about. I’m not unhappy. It’s the first time I’ve seen everyone working like this.”
She had been with Ben for so long, but she hadn’t really seen Ben’s work.
In the afternoon, when she saw a group of them discussing, the scene was really intense.
She hadn’t thought about it before, when these people got together, they were evil than each other.
Ben was very puzzled. According to Tilly’s personality, even if she was exhausted, she would still pester him to do things related to having a baby. However, when they returned to the room, she neither urged him to take a shower nor immediately started fooling around with him. This feeling made Ben not accustomed to it for a while.
As he unbuttoned the button, Ben slowed down, circled Tilly, and teased her without a trace.
However, Tilly seemed to completely ignore this.
This made Ben even more puzzled. What was going on? Could it be that he was no longer attractive to
Tilly? Just thinking about it was enough to make Ben feel defeated.
He didn’t beat around the bush with Tilly but leaned down directly, pressing his nose against Tilly’s and softly saying, “Sweetheart, you’re acting very strange today.”
“Am I?” Tilly asked.
She blinked her eyes innocently.
Ben said, “Your ignoring me like this makes me start to doubt my charm.”
Tilly lowered her eyelashes and looked towards Ben’s chest. How to say? Ben’s Adam’s apple, clavicle, pectoral muscles, abdominal muscles…
Tilly couldn’t help but swallow her saliva. However, she did feel a bit tired today, mainly because she didn’t take a nap in the afternoon and now she was so sleepy that tears were coming out.
Aimee had said that overly tense nerves can cause stress and make it difficult to conceive normally.
She didn’t want to think about having a baby when she was already so tired, and it was not good for
Ben either.
Therefore, even though Tilly was very tempted by Ben’s body right now, she still said, “I’m tired and want to go to sleep today.”
Ben thought that this reason was more perfunctory than Tilly’s excuse of having period. Tilly’s persistence in having a baby was so strong that even when she was exhausted and her eyelids were fighting each other, she still insisted on making it happen.
And besides, Tilly said it herself before she fell asleep that he could handle it on his own.
Ben lowered his head and kissed Tilly’s lips, saying, “Baby, are you just being perfunctory?”
“No, I’m really tired,” Tilly said.
However, the action of swallowing saliva betrayed her true thoughts.
Ben kissed her lips again. He didn’t even have to tease her. When he just kissed her again and again, he would make her soft.
Tilly finally couldn’t resist Ben, her head tilted and she reminded herself in her mind not to be attracted, not at all.
However, in the next second, Ben hugged her directly.
Tilly’s body was more honest, already had the habit of movement.
Her hands and feet unconsciously wrapped themselves around Ben’s body.
Stunned for a moment, Tilly subconsciously wanted to get off Ben’s body.
However, Ben clasped her waist and said, “The bathroom or the bed, or, do you like the balcony?”
Tilly was speechless, because Ben hadn’t been so blunt before.
Seeing that Tilly was silent, Ben said deliberately, “Although going to the balcony will be more exciting, my suggestion is not to. There are too many mosquitoes, and it’s too hot.”
Tilly looked at Ben, blinked and said, “Ben, I want to sleep.”
Ben said, “Well, I’ll let you sleep later.”
“I want to sleep right now,” Tilly said.
Ben said, “Okay.”
Tilly and Ben had been discussing the topic of sleeping all night long, from how to sleep to whether their way of sleeping was the same or not. Tilly was at her wit’s end.
Usually, she would be the one clinging onto Ben, but now that he was clinging onto her. She didn’t know what to do with herself.
Finally satisfied, Ben held Tilly in his arms while she hummed and hawed with a layer of mist in her eyes. He gently stroked her back and asked what was wrong.
“What?” Tilly’s brain wasn’t functioning properly at this point as she looked at him strangely for a while before finally understanding what he meant.
“Nothing really. I’m just tired and want to sleep.”
Ben looked down at Tilly skeptically; he half-believed what she said.
Feeling uneasy under his gaze, Tilly covered his eyes with her hand and said, “Hey! Don’t look at me like that! I’m not lying!”
“I never said you were,” replied Ben.
If it weren’t for Tilly insisting on telling him this so adamantly, then maybe he wouldn’t have thought too much about it. But now that he heard it from her own mouth like this, he knew there must be more going on than just being tired.
“However,” continued Ben after a moment’s pause. “You were pretty good earlier despite being so tired.”
Tilly blushed furiously upon hearing this comment from him. How could someone be so shameless?
She poked his arm with an annoyed expression, “Don’t talk nonsense! It’s not like I’m hiding anything from you!”
Ben lowered his head and kissed Tilly on the forehead affectionately; this girl really didn’t understand subtlety or tactfulness very well yet. She had already given herself away without any prompting whatsoever – there was no need for him to pry further into things when they were already out in the open like this.
But still, he couldn’t help but tease her sometimes just because it made him feel closer to her somehow.
Tiredness soon overtook them both as they drifted off into peaceful slumber together.
The next day arrived without incident as everyone slept until afternoon came around once again.
Originally, at dinner last night, everyone had an appointment to go out to sea. Who would have thought that when they opened their eyes, the sun was already setting.
However, they can’t go to sea, but they can have fun at the seaside.
Matilda and the others directly organized beach volleyball.
At first, they were grouped by family, but then somehow, it became a group of men and a group of women.
Casey came over and pulled Aimee over, looking like a poor little girl and whispering in Aimee’s ears all the time that she must teach these men a lesson.
Thus, the beach volleyball directly rose to a war between men and women.
Casey didn’t mind watching the show and had been cheering for Aimee and the others, making the atmosphere lively.
Eden patted Casey on the head, and said, “It’s too much. Look at those on the opposite side. How can there be any one who will be cruel to them?”
Eden was right to criticize. The men and women were fighting separately, with one team of wives and one team of husbands. The husbands’ team was so bad that they might as well have been thrown into the ocean.
Not only did this leave the spectators speechless, but even Aimee and her friends were also at a loss for words.
Matilda put her hands on her hips and looked over at the men across from them. “Do you look down on us? Are we really that terrible in your eyes?” she asked.
“No, no,” Miles quickly replied.
“Then play seriously. Your style is too boring,” Matilda said.
Some of the men had intended to go easy on their wives after all; how could they really hurt them?
However, this kind of playing style not only didn’t do any good but also earned them disdain from their wives instead.
Patrick patted Miles’s shoulder and said, “If you let up against Matilda, you’re insulting her skills.”
Miles glared at Patrick; what did he mean by saying that now? Hadn’t he gone easy on Aimee before?
The two brothers didn’t need to speak explicitly; just a glance was enough for each other to understand what they were thinking.
Patrick felt helpless too; he had wanted to go easy on Aimee as well but… her skills made it impossible…
He raised his head and met Aimee’s meaningful yet challenging gaze before chuckling lowly. “Let’s try again.”
This time around, they had better take it seriously or risk being beaten until crying like babies later –
which would be entirely their fault anyway since most men thought alike in such situations!
However soon enough, reality hit hard when they got mercilessly beaten by their wives who showed them firsthand what happened when someone overthought things!
In the end Patrick’s team lost – not because they went easy but because their opponents proved themselves superior in every way possible!
Casey and Tilly from the cheerleading squad couldn’t contain their excitement anymore as soon as it ended! They rushed over to congratulate Aimee and her teammates, showering them with compliments!
Eden looked helplessly towards Patrick’s direction while muttering under his breath, “These sisters-in-
law are so brutal!”
