After he left, Danika struggled to get up and walked toward the bathroom.

Eustace wasn’t wrong; physical cooling was very important for her at that moment.

If she continued to burn up like that, she would become delirious.

In the bathroom, Danika prepared to take a hot bath.

As the hot water fell on her body, she immediately felt much better, and her mind became clearer.

It was then that she realized she was in Eustace’s house.

She felt embarrassed, realizing she should have gone back to her own unit to shower instead.

Danika intended to quickly resolve the situation before Eustace came back Otherwise, it would be awkward by the time he returned.

She turned off the hot water so she could dry herself and put on her clothes before leaving.

But soon, she came to realize a problem.

She’d never been to Eustace’s unit before, so naturally, there weren’t any of her things there.

Most importantly, she didn’t have a towel! What should she use to dry herself then? Danika felt helpless, and her gaze landed on the clothes she’d just taken off.

“Well, desperate times call for desperate measures,” she thought.

Just as she reached out for her clothes, intending to use them to dry herself off, there came a knock on the bathroom door, which startled her and made her jolt.

“Danika, are you inside?” Eustace’s voice came from outside.

“Yes,” Danika replied hesitantly.

She wished she could just disappear.

“I’ve left a towel and some clothes outside the door for you.I’ll be waiting for you in the living room,”

Eustace said, leaving the bedroom after placing clean clothes and a towel outside the bathroom door.

Don’t Think About Unnecessary Things

After hearing the sound of the bedroom door closing, Danika blushed and cautiously opened the bathroom door.

She then took the towel and clothes.

The clothes belonged to Eustace and had a masculine woody scent; they didn’t quite fit her.

However, that was the least of Danika’s concerns at that moment.

She would just wear them for a while and change when she got home.

With that in mind, she put on Eustace’s shirt and came out of the bathroom.

Thank goodness for the heating.

Otherwise, not only would it be cold outside, but the house would be freezing too.

Danika walked from the bedroom to the living room.

Eustace sat on the couch while waiting for her to come out.

Hearing her footsteps, he turned to her and asked, “Do you feel better now?”

“Yeah.Much better,” she replied gratefully.

Although she felt slightly dizzy, the soreness in her body had somewhat subsided.

“I bought some medicine for you.Since you’re a doctor, you can decide which ones to take,” he said.

He’d asked the pharmacist but felt that Danika would know better.

Danika nodded and picked up the medicine Eustace had bought. He’d bought a lot; there were even antibiotics.

“Thank you,” she said.

Danika only took the fever medicine and didn’t take anything else for the time being.

She wanted to wait and see how she felt in the morning.

If it was serious, she would take antibiotics, but if she improved, she didn’t plan to take any other medicine.

“Thank you for your help. I should go now,” she said.

It was already very late, and Danika thought it would be rude for her to keep Eustace up any longer.

But Eustace grabbed her hand and said with a hint of reproach, “You’re wearing so little, and it’s cold outside.Do you want to make your condition worse?”

Danika’s heart skipped a beat at his stern tone.

He led her back to the bedroom and said, “You can sleep in my room.I’ll sleep in my guest room.”

“That’s not right.I should sleep in the guest room instead of your room,” Danika said.

Then, she added, “Or could you lend me a down jacket to wear back home?”

After all, it was only a short walk, so it wasn’t as dramatic as Eustace made it out to be.

“Rest well, and don’t think about unnecessary things,”

Eustace said before leaving the bedroom, not giving Danika a chance to leave.

Feeling helpless, Danika lay down on the bed.

Perhaps it was because of the fever medicine, as she soon fell asleep despite being in an unfamiliar bed.

Meanwhile, Eustace, who was in the guest room, couldn’t fall asleep.

He couldn’t help but think about how Danika had trusted him enough to ask for his help when she was sick.

Maybe he should seriously consider confessing his feelings.

Although things were looking up for them now, and no other men were threatening his position, that didn’t mean there wouldn’t be any in the future.

It would be better if she became his girlfriend.

That way, even if he was jealous, he had every right to do so, unlike now.

As these thoughts reeled in his mind, Eustace didn’t realize that the night had passed until he finally decided to close his eyes and sleep.

He then discovered that it was almost dawn upon looking at the time.

Eustace thought he might as well get up, as Danika might wake up soon.

Since a person with a fever shouldn’t eat greasy food, he decided to make some oatmeal for Danika and began to busy himself in the kitchen.

In the bedroom, Danika was sleeping soundly, completely unaware that Eustace had been awake all night and was currently in the kitchen.

When she woke up, it was already eight in the morning.

She could see the faint sunlight streaming into the bedroom when she opened her eyes.

In winter, sunlight was particularly precious.

Danika didn’t continue lazing and got up from the bed.

As Long as You Like It

When Danika walked into the living room and saw the hot oatmeal on the dining table, she was a little stunned. She looked at Eustace, still busying himself in the kitchen, and a warm feeling washed over her.She took a step toward him and said, “Hey.”

She called out softly, and he turned around with a smile.

“Oh, you’re awake already.Do you feel better?”he asked with concern.

“Yeah. I feel better now.”

Danika nodded and walked toward him.She was surprised to see that he was making tortellini.

For a moment, she didn’t know what to say.

Then, she asked, “What time did you get up?”

“I don’t remember.It was still dark outside.”

Eustace said with a laugh, not minding that he’d gotten no sleep at all.

It was his first time making tortellini, so he wasn’t very familiar with the process.

Fortunately, he had some talent for cooking, so his attempt didn’t end up in failure.

Eustace was about to ask Danika to have breakfast when he suddenly felt Danika’s warm body in his arms.
