After finishing her words, the maid stuffed the key into Jolene’s hand and left, ignoring Jolene’s call.

Jolene spent two hours moving all her luggage to the master bedroom.

Just as she was about to take out her clothes and put them in the wardrobe, she heard the sound of the door opening downstairs.

Jolene’s face lit up with joy as she hurriedly walked out of the master bedroom.

When she saw that the person who had come in was James, her smile grew even brighter.

“James, you’re back,” she said, running downstairs and standing in front of him.

As soon as she got close, she smelled the alcohol coming from him and furrowed her eyebrows slightly.

“Are you drunk?”

Upon hearing her voice, James felt a surge of disgust from the bottom of his heart.

“What are you doing here? Who let you in?” Jolene felt awkward.

“James, you were the one who asked me to move in with you.”

Upon hearing her words, James seemed to sober up a bit and remembered that it was indeed the case, but even so, his expression did not soften.

With a chuckle, he went straight upstairs, ignoring her completely.

However, Jolene followed closely behind and asked softly, “James, shall I make some coffee for you?”

James didn’t say anything; he just felt annoyed. He pushed open the door and walked into his bedroom, immediately noticing all the luggage on the floor.

“Who let you move all this junk into my room?”

Get Out!

“These are all my luggage, James.I’ll tidy them up quickly,” Jolene said.

As she was about to go over and tidy up her luggage, she was pushed to the floor by James. He looked down at her with disdain, not hiding the disgust in his eyes.

“Hmph! You wouldn’t be thinking of sharing a room with me, would you?”

“James…”

Jolene felt uneasy, especially with James’ current demeanor. It made her have the urge to run away.

“Go to the servants’ quarters downstairs, that’s where your room is.”

James didn’t even look at her as he walked toward the bathroom.Soon, the sound of water splashing came, and Jolene was still on the floor, feeling lost.

The servants’ quarters? But she was the Windsors’ future lady of the house.

How could she stay in the servants’ quarters? Then again, she thought of James’ demeanor a moment ago and couldn’t help but feel scared.

After hesitating for a while, she finally dragged her luggage downstairs.

Moving her luggage upstairs had already exhausted her.

Now, she had to move them downstairs again.

By the time she was done, she was utterly exhausted.

Just as she finished moving everything, James came out of the bathroom.

“Where’s the coffee?”

He stood on the second-floor corridor, looking at Jolene, who was resting on the sofa in the living room.

“Did you think I asked you to come here to enjoy yourself? Since you’re so eager to be a Windsor, you must take care of all the household chores for me from now on.If anything displeases me even a little bit, don’t blame me for sending you back to the Zellwegers.”

James locked at Jolene sternly as she stood up from the sofa with a pitiful look.

“James, can’t we hire a maid?” she asked.

“Hire a maid? Then what use do I have for you?”

James didn’t mince his words. He asked Jolene to move in so that he could torment her.

Naturally, he wouldn’t let her have a good time.

Jolene bit her lip, on the verge of tears.

“I’m your fianc茅e.How can you treat me like this?”

“Fianc茅e? You know very well how you became my fianc茅e.If you want to become a Windsor, then show your sincerity.”

Jolene took a deep breath and seemed to come to a decision.

“So, after I show my sincerity, will you accept me then?”

“We’ll see.”

Accept her? James would never accept her in his entire life.

With that, James turned and went back into his room, reminding her once again before leaving, “Coffee.Don’t make me remind you again.”

“Okay.” Jolene nodded.

She knew that James was deliberately making things difficult for her.But since she chose to move here, she had to make him accept her.

Otherwise, everything she had done before would be in vain. She couldn’t give up, and she couldn’t let James chase her away.

After silently encouraging herself in her heart, Jolene walked toward the kitchen to make some coffee for James.

Half an hour later, Jolene pushed open the door to the master bedroom.

“James, here’s some coffee.”

“Get out! Don’t you know how to knock?”

James looked coldly at her, closing the files in his hand.

Jolene was frightened and quickly apologized. She closed the door and knocked before coming in again.

This time, James didn’t say anything.

He took the coffee she handed him but didn’t drink it.

Just as Jolene wondered why he wasn’t drinking it, James sneered at her.

“I dare not eat anything you make.”

“James, I…”

The cup in James’ hand fell to the floor with a loud thud.He looked at Jolene mockingly.

“Who knows? You might be trying something again.”

“James, I’m not—“

“Clean up the mess, and then get out.”

James was not in the mood to listen to her explanation. He waved his hand dismissively and turned back to his work.

Tears streamed down Jolene’s face uncontrollably, but she bit her lip to prevent herself from crying out loud.

Intense Hatred

After carefully cleaning up the spilled coffee on the floor, Jolene left the master bedroom.Right as she stepped out of the door, she couldn’t help but burst into tears. She’d been the princess of the Zellweger family for so many years.

When had she ever done such things? She returned to the servants’ quarters and called Rowena, hoping that her mother could come up with a solution for her.

However, the phone rang for a long time with no answer, and her heart grew colder with each ring.

Jolene couldn’t have imagined that, at that moment, Rowena was lying in the arms of an old man.

He was considered old because he was about a decade older than Graham.

The man was Boris Zellweger, Graham’s first cousin once removed.

If Graham had seen this scene, he would probably be so angry that he would want to shred the man into pieces.

Boris held Rowena in his arms as he lit a cigarette, feeling satisfied.

Although Rowena was a bit older in age, she had the charm of a mature woman, and Boris even thought she was more to his taste than those young girls.

“Uncle Boris, when do you plan to take action against Graham?”

Rowena snuggled up in his arms and asked sweetly. She still called him “Uncle Boris,” although she had always felt repulsed by this way of addressing him.

However, Boris insisted that she call him that way adamantly.
