Madison whispered, “I’ll be back soon. Do as I told you. Someone’s here.” Sadie reached out and grabbed her with a worried expression.

Sadie wanted to help her, but she was in a dangerous situation herself. She could only hope to give birth to her baby quickly. That would be the best way to help Madison.
Madison drew her weapon and loaded it. She hid by the table. She would shoot the person in the head as soon as they walked in!
Hunter could sense someone’s gaze at the door. He didn’t know how many people were inside. He didn’t know if they were men or women. He would be at a disadvantage if he walked in without any preparations. He would also risk hurting Sadie if he started attacking right away.
However, if he waited any longer, Wayne would become an issue. He had no choice but to head in.
Madison heard the footsteps approaching. A hint of killing intent flashed in her eyes as she held the gun tighter.
Hunter tried to analyze the motive of the person with Sadie. If they wanted to kidnap Saide, they would’ve taken her away as soon as they got her. They wouldn’t bring her here to deliver the baby.

So, Hunter announced himself and called Sadie by her alias. “Brie, are you in there? Michelle is coming over. I’m here to save you.”
Sadie was very excited, but Madison was even more so. She didn’t expect the man she wanted to find to be right by her side.

Hunter blockaded the entrance while Madison went back to delivering the baby.
She comforted Sadie, saying, “Don’t worry. He’s with me.”
Hunter went up to Madison but turned around to give Sadie some privacy. “Madie, you’d better explain yourself.”
Madison replied calmly, “I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you yet. I have a reason I must get closer to Wayne.”
Even just looking at Hunter’s back, she was able to tell how furious he was.
“Are you insane? Do you know what kind of man he is ?”
“I know. He’s a crazed murderer, but I need to get his ring.”
Hunter frowned. Clearly, he knew what that was. “That ring which is known as the key to the base? Madie, that’s very dangerous.”
“Relax. I’m treating his headaches. As of now, he trusts my medical skills.”
“That person that night was you?”
“Yes.”
Hunter was even more frustrated. “So, your goal was to approach him. Saving me was just something you did on the side?”
Thinking of that made him furious.
Sadie was at a loss for words. Madison and Hunter were talking in their native tongue. She didn’t understand what they were talking about, but she could tell that they were arguing based on their tone.
It was clear that they were a couple since they had kissed just now. She was giving birth to a baby, yet the two of them were arguing while helping her deliver the baby. It was a very weird situation.
“I’m sorry, Hunter. There are things that I have to do. I promise to take care of myself. I’l leave when the going gets tough.”
Hunter wasn’t satisfied with that answer. “So, you want me to watch as you go back to another man? Madie, why don’t you just kill me?”
“Hunter, I’m not going there to date him. Also, I escaped to look for you.” “To look for me? Really?” Hunter replied sarcastically.
It seemed like his view of her was completely ruined.
Madison sighed. “Hunter, the ring isn’t on him. It might be in Carathia. Can you do something to make him go back and stop the war for now?” “So, you’re planning to go back to Carathia with him?”
Hunter completely lost his cool.
Madison felt a little helpless. Hunter’s focus was entirely on her and Wayne. He didn’t care about national pride or whatever ongoing conflict there was.
The only thing going through his mind at that moment was Wayne and Madison becoming a couple!

Madison quickly went over to tap the baby’s bottom. All of them sighed in relief when the baby started to cry. Madison quickly picked him up and cleaned him in the basin of water she had prepared in advance. She wiped the baby down and took off her shirt to wrap the baby in it.
She put the baby in Sadie’s arms. “It’s a healthy baby boy.”
Sadie was moved to tears. “Thank you so much!”
Madison only had a camisole left. She walked up to Hunter and leaned into his embrace. With her arms wrapped around his waist, she nestled her face on his chest.
“Hunter, I’m no longer that crybaby you once knew. I’ve matured, really.” Hunter looked down to see Madison with tears in her eyes. He sighed and hugged her back.
He muttered in her ear, “Madie, what do you want from me?”
She tiptoed and kissed him on the lips. “Hunter, don’t ever doubt my feelings for you. You’re the only one I love.”
Hunter took off his jacket and put it on her. “Madie, oh Madie. Why can’t you be more obedient?”
“I want to help you, Grandpa, and the whole country. I’ll kill Wayne if I need to.”
They shared a long passionate kiss before Madison broke free from his embrace. “He should be here soon. I need to leave.”
“Madie, no…”
“I’l be back as soon as I can.”
Madison took off the jacket. “He’ll be suspicious of me. My current identity is Ophelia from Canwell City. The reason I ran out this time was to look for you. You have to remember what I said.”
Hunter took a good look at her before making up his mind. He said hoarsely, “Okay, I got it. You have to take care of yourself.”
“Okay.”
Madison talked to Sadie a little and rubbed Hunter’s cheek before she left. In the past, Madison was the one watching when Hunter left for work. This time, Hunter had to watch as she walked away.

“Make another move and I’ll shoot you.”
Hunter gazed at Madison, who was being carried away, from a distance. He clenched his fists, and his eyes became bloodshot. He had the urge to rush outside and save her.
But she would hate him if he did that.
